  homeland. It is linked to the Battle of Drashovica\, one of the fierces
 t battles of the National Liberation War\, fought from September 14 to O
 ctober 4\, 1943\, against the fortified German garrison in Drashovica.\n
 \nOn the same hills where\, in 1920\, the fighters of Labëria under the 
 leadership of Osman Haxhiu drove the Italian occupiers into the sea duri
 ng the Vlora War\, 23 years later a new generation of fighters confronte
 d the Nazi German occupiers. Following the capitulation of Fascist Italy
  on September 9\, 1943\, the partisan forces of the Vlora District\, in 
 accordance with the order of the General Staff of the National Liberatio
 n Army\, organized the attack against the enemy garrison in Drashovica.\
