“The International Monodrama Festival ‘VERBUM EST – THE WORD IS!’ is an elite initiative in the field of performing arts, aiming to reintroduce a discerning audience to the currently diminished yet once highly valued theatrical scene in the city of Pogradec, specifically adult theatre. Monodrama has been chosen as the theatrical genre to bring novelty to the city of Pogradec and, secondly, to create through this festival a dedicated community of professional stage performance, namely the ‘Monodrama Community.’ The festival is made possible through cooperation between the local arts community, local government, and local businesses.”
