Folklore Festival

This is the third edition of the Festival, held in Kotë, the administrative center of the Municipality of Selenicë. The event brings together around 20 polyphonic groups from the villages of Selenicë, Sevaster, and the Vjosa River area, promoting the traditional songs and dances of the region. The festival is organized over three nights, with the first two nights dedicated to competition, while the third night features the best groups selected by a professional jury. Held in July on an open-air stage, the event is attended by local residents, emigrants returning for holidays, and foreign visitors. As Lab polyphonic singing is protected by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the festival represents an important cultural and touristic value for the area.
